I think it shows lack of character… first, they broke a date with you (for someone else!), second, they didn’t seem to care about your feelings, even though they’d been communicating with you for a month. I would be concerned that they would do these type of things in a relationship and it sure isn’t what I want, so I would say no to the 2nd offer.

Well if I had planned to meet the person I would have gotten them on the phone first so if they canceled the date via email (not phone) and then recontacted me via email I would add their email address to my kill file and never even read what they wrote from that point forward.

I’m not a sloppy seconds kind of guy. A person who breaks off a date for someone else then tries to come back to you is the type of person that will have insecurity issues in a relationship. My response would be to block them.

I’ve never heard of this happening! Wow. I’ve had friends who had dates cancel on them, myself included but never had the date ask again. I would say, say la vee or however you spell it. If I were this girl, my heart would be crushed if I thought we both had something going only to find out he was not as into me as I thought he was. The date was cancelled for a reason, move forward. There are a lot of other guys out there worth getting to know.
