It seems like this date has arrived in rock bottom format. I guess if you can have a good time when he is like this and not get too put off, then the relationship can only get better. On the next date you could buy them some cologne to get the message across :)

In my case I would pray that my date would end as soon as possible. And as it ends, right after that I would text her and say that she`s a very nice person but we are not suited for each other. So by this she wouldn't be hurt much.

I wouldn't wanna be in in such situation, but in case i may bump into one, i would probably be frank about it and tell her straight, but in a nice positive way. I would not want to hurt her feelings or something, but it may help her somewhat.

A few years back I went on a date with this german guy from my area and yes, he smelled bad and had bad breath too. It was so off-putting and all I could do was pray for the date to end. Luckliy when it came time to leave, he thought we had a fantastic time and leaned closer to kiss me. I made an excuse that my friend was waiting for me, smiled and vanished as quickly as I could. After that he tried to call me and arrange another date, and I had to politely turn him down and said I do not think we are suited for each other.

Even to this day I am very paranoid about my appearance and make sure I am clean head-to-toe and smell like a divine goddess. It's a step up from others not trying to look their best. Even to this day with my partner, I still dress up when I go out, make sure I am in great shape and all the little things that go with it. Just because I am in a relationship, it doesn't mean that I should not look after myself.

I wouldn't be too much concerned about her wrinkled clothes or mismatched outfit. Perhaps she was in a hurry to reach the date on time. However bad odor is disgusting. I would handle this in a different way. I would call the Coffee Shop waiter and request him to spray some Room freshener!

Clothes being wrinkled is fine but not the odor! I have a very touchy nose and if a particular smell just does not suit my nostrils, it immediately shows up on my face, however hard I may try to hide it.

The best thing for me in such a situation is to politely say so and move on. The natural body odor is a great turn ON for me and I know certain people smell good to me naturally. I will always be attracted to such person...more often than not.

If the smell is intolerable, I would excuse myself to the washroom and call up a friend to call me in 10 minutes to pretend that there is an emergency and I have to leave the date early. Then I would apologize to my date and ask to reschedule for another time.

I would not really be concerned about the clothes being wrinkled because anything could have happened. The smell though would definetly turn me off and I would wonder if he is one of those people who like to be "free". I would definetly ask him about it and see if his answer jives with me or not. I would consider all options and have an open mind. That is if he is not crazy.

I would probably say something like "Wow, it looks like you had a late night." Then I would ask if he/she wanted to reschedule for another time. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, and maybe he/she had just woken up and didn't want to be late for coffee.

I wouldn't be mean to the person but I would end the date right away. It would be easier for me if the bad smell coming from them was cigarette smoke because it really does make me sick to smell that on someone so I could be honest about it and just call things off.
