  1. Barbara says:

I really thought that there was a stigma around online dating. I was married for 25 years and then divorced and interested in starting to date again. I tried a few things – speed dating, hanging out at the bars, singles groups – but nothing really worked! Then I tried online. After turning down a few, or even ignoring some, I met a really great guy. When people ask me how we met, I’m still a little hesitant to say ‘on line’, but when I do the response I usually get is, “Oh, my (brother, sister, friend, aunt, etc) met someone online and they are still together!”

  2. Eric Lercara says:

Stigmas in online dating are a thing of the past. I can honestly say this. Why? Because I’m a dating coach who has talked with hundreds of men and women about online dating. It is growing enormously. 5 years ago, when I started dating online, I didn’t tell my friends about it. Now, I tell all my friends about the success I had. Nobody cares.

People are starting to see that online dating isn’t a way of ‘giving up’ on the real world dating scene. It’s just a way of maximizing your dating efficiency, to put it in geek terms. It’s stupid not to!
