SILENT
TREATMENT
Jenn and Dave were having some problems at home and had been
giving each other the "silent treatment" for most
of the day. However, Dave realized that he would need his
wife, who was always an early riser, to wake him
at
5:00am for an early morning drive to the golf course to
meet up with friends for a 7:00am tee off.
Not
wanting to be the first to break the silence
(and
thus lose the "battle"), Dave wrote on a piece
of paper,
"Jenn,
please wake me at 5:00am."
The
next morning, Dave woke up, only to discover it was 9:00am
and that his friends would
have been at the golf course for two hours now, playing
without him. Furious, Dave was about to go and see why
his wife
hadn't
awakened
him when
he noticed a piece of paper by the bed. The paper said,
"Dave,
it's 5:00am. Wake up."
