ROSES
A young man, James, was infatuated with a beautiful woman
who worked in the office complex next to his. They'd often
have
lunch together. One day, the woman told James that her birthday
was the following day. Not missing a beat, James told her
that he was going to send her red roses; one for each year
of her life.
That evening, James ran to the local florist and ordered
21 roses to be delivered to the lovely young lady the following
morning. James then tipped the florist $20.
Early the next morning the florist was putting together
the order and remembered the $20 tip James had given him.
He decided to reward James by including an extra dozen
roses in the order, making it 33 roses.
James never did find out why the young woman refused to
ever speak to him or have lunch with him again.
