It is actually a very good idea, but this kind of trip is possible only if both the people concerned have a liking for visiting such places. I actually visited an old temple with my partner when we were on a short trip a little away from out city and that temple had plenty of paintings and sculptures from kamasutra series. My lady was blushing with shame and she thought I took her there with a purpose.:(

I am glad I could eventually convince her that our visit was just a coincidence and nothing more!

I also think that the “historic tour ” is a good idea for a date, but not for the first date i guess. Anyway, here is a situation:
What should you do if the girl you are dating is from the same town you are and she lives in it from a very long time and she knows all about it, so there isn’t any historic place which would make her any impression, or a place that she wasn’t already seen, so how about that?
My answer – take her to another town/village which is familliar for you, but she has never seen and do the “historic tour” there ;)

Searching through a guidebook or even using the internet to find free local events is a great way to discover things that you didn’t even know existed within your own area! Consider a round of off-the-beaten-path dates to entice your partner to go on some real adventures with you. This is a great date idea.

This idea wouldn’t work so well for me because I live in an old railroad town and quite frankly anything to do with trains bores me to tears. But it sounds like a good idea for other areas.

The “historic tour with your date” concept seems to be interesting. When the idea of dating strikes our mind, most of us think about a lunch/ dinner party, movies and what not? But the historic tour can be entertaining and give us the opportunity of learning the culture.

This would make a great setting for a date, the very fact that you are on an adventure and your date is with you for the ride will create a great atmosphere and you will both need to have trust in each other. What can be better for a date than trust , thats what builds the foundations for the perfect relationship. I can see this turning into wedding bells !
